Be who you want to be? We have based our website categories around the current most popular fancy dress party themes. Here are some alter ego/fantasy type dressing themes to help you arrange your own party or get the right costume for one you have been invited to.
Pirate
Great fancy dress party choice because it’s easy for people to do on a budget incorporating their own clothes, equally a chance for others to really go to town. We offer pirate shirts, eye patches, earrings, various hats including Pirates of the Caribbean style. Wrist bands, belts, sashes, cutlass and daggers are others.
Not forgetting the pirate beard.
Western
Another versatile fancy dress theme. Cowboys and cowgirls, American Indian or even the Saloon girl make an appearance. Our great accessories include bandanas, bootlace ties, toy rifles and pistols, sheriff badges and spurs. Fancy some facial hair? We have moustaches. Cowboy hats range from the cute and glittery, rancher straw or authentic black and brown.
Super heroes
This is tricky fancy dress theme in so much as you have to be quite exact with the full costume. For example it’s hard to do Superman by halves. A pillowcase for a cloak and wearing your boxers outside your trousers will not do the dynamic hero much justice. If you come to our shop you can hire the main ones otherwise we will shortly be offering them to buy from this site.
We currently stock Batman, Superman, Wonder woman, Super girl, Mr Incredible, Captain America and Bananaman.
Other fancy dress ideas.
Initials
Guests wearing costumes based on the hosts initial eg ‘F’ for fairies, French maid, frog, French guy, Fred Flintstone, fire fighter etc. I’m sure you’re imagination is better than mine.
Tv and film
Not as easy as it sounds a lot of people struggle with this one. You have to choose an actor who can be easily distinguished through the parts they play. Most actors look quite similar in their red carpet attire. The obvious ones for women are Marilyn, Audrey Hepburn and Marg Simpson. Guys choose characters such as Indiana Jones, Austin Powers or Richard Gere in an Officer and a Gentleman.
If you want to try things on or just look at all the other great fancy dress stuff we have in our shop come down and take a look we are in Huddersfield town centre.
